Attukal Pongala is a ten-day festival observed during the month of Kumbham, which falls between February and March, and is one of the most important spiritual gatherings in Kerala, held at the Attukal Bhagavathy Temple. The festival is especially known for its massive participation of women devotees, who prepare Pongala as an offering to the goddess. In 2026, the main Pongala ritual will be observed on March 3rd, drawing devotees from across the state and beyond to Thiruvananthapuram for this deeply rooted and culturally significant event.
