About This Event
The 2026 Manarcad Perunnal, also known as the Ettunombu Festival, will be observed from September 1 to 8 at St. Mary’s Jacobite Syrian Cathedral in Manarcad, Kottayam. Located around 9 km from Kottayam town, the cathedral is one of Kerala’s prominent Syrian Orthodox Christian pilgrimage centres. The eight-day observance concludes with the main Perunnal celebrations on September 8, which is the most important day of the festival and draws a large number of devotees to the cathedral.
